Article published demonstrates the value of the use of FLO Telehealth in the treatment of hypertension

30th July 2015

A new paper ‘Implementation of simple telehealth to manage hypertension in general practice: a service evaluation’, has been published in BMC Family Practice Journal that captures the clinical application of Flo Telehealth and showed how ‘telehealth’ can aid and underpin more effective hypertensive management via shared care. The patients were recruited in the 31 CCGs that participated in the Advice & Interactive Messaging (AIM) for Health initiative in 2013-4; kindly funded by the DH.

This links to work being undertaken in the AHSN NENC Telehealth Programme, in particular that relating to the treatment of mild pregnancy induced hypertension and gestational diabetes mellitus, the evaluation of which will be complete in September.
